The Graduate Student Government (GSG) is currently in need of faculty from all academic disciplines to serve as judges for GRID on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Judges play an integral role in the success of GRID in that they provide student presenters with valuable feedback and ultimately help select the presenters who are awarded travel grants.

The Graduate Student Government (GSG) is hosting Graduate Research Interaction Day (GRID) on April 6, 2011. GRID provides an on-campus conference-style venue in which graduate students from all academic backgrounds can share their research, obtain valuable faculty and peer feedback, and hone their conference presentation skills within the comfort of their own campus environment. GRID fosters healthy competition among students by recognizing and awarding the best presentations from subject-themed oral and poster presentation sessions.

The Graduate Student Government GRID Planning Committee (GPC) is seeking a graduate student to serve as GRID Coordinator for the planning and production of GRID 2011 to be held on April 6, 2011. The position appointment period is from January 24, 2011 - April 8, 2011 with approximately 5 hours per week at $16/hour with potentially increased hours approaching the day of the event. Scheduling of hours per week is flexible.

At its most recent meeting, the GSG Assembly voted on a logo that highlights 30 years of serving graduate students across campus. The winning logo was designed by Jonathan Lee, a graduate student in the Smith School of Business!
