"The long-delayed East Campus development project to create a bustling college town at the corner of Route 1 and Paint Branch Parkway is on its way to officially breaking ground in spring 2013, according to university officials.
For the second time this year, Facilities Management Director Frank Brewer presented a draft of the university's Facilities Master Plan - a guide to development on and off the campus - to the College Park City Council last night. The updated plan hammers out details to the revived 38-acre East Campus project that would bring upscale hotels, additional graduate student housing and a large music venue to the city."
