Non-Paid Work Experience Assignment: Web Developer

SAIC-Frederick, Inc., Frederick, Operations and Technical Support Contractor to the National Cancer Institute at Frederick is seeking a student with an undergraduate degree, or with 4 years’ relevant experience, or an equivalent (4 years) combination of college work and experience who is interested in gaining practical experience in web development in a corporate environment through the development of an intranet site.
Assignment start date: Open
Duration of assignment: Flexible, expected to be approximately 3 months, depending on hours and to be determined by mutual agreement.
Description of assignment: The selected individual will work under the guidance of a staff IT professional to fulfill the requirements.
- Project requirements documentation development
- Open source Content Management System (CMS)
- File management and archiving
- Search engine
- Live calendar
Desired background: Experience with Web site development, undergraduate work emphasizing communication, good organizational, communication, and computer skills.
