When is Grad Pub?
Grad Pub will begin at 3:30 pm on most payday Fridays (as well as some
extra Fridays). Last call is at 7:00pm. There is free food and cheap drinks.

Who can come to Grad Pub?
Graduate students and their guests are welcome. Faculty and staff members who
work with graduate students are welcome as well. We invite departments
to make a day of it and invite their entire graduate program down to the
Pub. We regularly have departmental groups at Grad Pub, occasionally numbering
15 or more.
We are also looking for sponsors for additional Grad Pubs. If you are
interested, contact us directly at 301-314-8630, or email Bethany Applebaum,

What kind of food and drink will there be?
Menu varies from Pub to Pub.
- House Wine $3
- Premium beer (Corona, Beck’s, Beck’s Dark and Sierra Nevada) $3
- Bud & Bud light bottles: $2
- Mixed Drinks and Champagne $4
- Soda $1
- Juice $2

Is it actually fun?
Yes!! Grad Pub has been a great place to make new friends, professional
connections, or even romances.
Come alone and make new friends, come with people from your program or
other friends -- no matter what it's a great way to socialize and unwind
after a long week.

Do I need to bring any kind of identification?
Aside from a photo-ID if you are going to consume alcoholic beverages,
we ask that you bring your student ID with you as well.

Are there any other social events
for Grad Students?
The Office of Graduate Student Life (www.gsl.umd.edu)
organizes regular social outings (hiking trips, trips to DC) for Grad
Students. The Graduate Student Government is in the process of planning
