Executive Branch
The GSG Executive Branch consists of the Executive Staff (Director of Operations
and Chief of Staff), the Executive Committee, and the Presidential Cabinet.
Executive Committee:
The Executive Committee enacts all policies, bills, resolutions, and amendments
to the GSG Bylaws and Constitution
as passed by the Assembly. Additionally it is charged to use its own discretion
to act in the best interest of graduate students. This is done via Executive
Orders and the Executives'
Strategic Plan.
The Executive Committee is comprised of the GSG President and 6 Vice Presidents
for Academic Affairs, Committee Affairs, Community Development, Financial Affairs, Graduate Student
Affairs, and Legislative Affairs. Elected Executive Committee members are
ex-officio, non-voting members of the Assembly. Each Executive Committee Member
is responsible for presenting a report to the Assembly at regularly scheduled
meetings or as directed by the Assembly.

The President is the Chief Executive Officer of the GSG, Chair of the
Executive Committee, and Chair of the Cabinet. In addition, the GSG President
is also the President of the Graduate Student Body. |
| VPAA |
The Vice President of Academic Affairs investigates University and Graduate School policies which pertain to the academic and
professional development of graduate students, as well as reviews and develops GSG policy and programs pertaining to these issues.
The VPAA also serves on the Senate Educational Affairs committee.

| VPCA |
The Vice President for Committee Affairs primarily oversees and coordinates
the functioning of standing and ad hoc committees of the GSG. |
| VPCD |
The Vice President for Community Development is in charge of GSG-sponsored
social activities such as Grad Pub. In addition, the VPCD is in charge of
other community-building activities such as GRID (Graduate Research Interaction
Day). |
| VPFA |
The Vice President of Financial Affairs is the GSG's CFO. The VPFA is
charged with the disbursement of funds from the GSG as directed by the Assembly.
The VPFA is also charged with overseeing the financial affairs of the GSG
in accordance with the Financial Policies and Procedures specified in the
Bylaws and with the cooperation of the Budget and Finance Committee. |

The Vice President of Legislative Affairs is the Chair of the Assembly,
and chairs all Assembly meetings. |
| VPSA |
The Vice President for Student Affairs is the GSG's primary point-person
for substantive graduate student issues such as housing, transportation,
and stipends. The VPSA is also the GSG's appointee to the Senate Student
Affairs Committee. |
Presidential Cabinet:
The Presidential Cabinet consists of graduate students that the GSG President
appoints to various campus committees and other positions as stated in the GSG
Bylaws.
