event location: Thurgood Marshall Room, Stamp
Join Graduate Student Life for a workshop addressing personal finance issues for students during graduate school and beyond, on Tuesday, April 19, in the Thurgood Marshall Room in The Stamp. This will be the third workshop in the Living Well series. Bill Varettoni, founder and president of Community Ladders and fellow graduate student, will discuss financial wellness, empowering you to take control of your finances as a graduate student.
Learn how to build credit as a graduate student, manage debt and student loans, and save money while in school. Participants will also understand the difference between debit and credit, the impact of your student status on your taxes, and the options you have to start saving for the future now. This event is free and open to all UM graduate students. Online registration will begin at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 6 at http://www.thestamp.umd.edu/GSL/social/livingwell.html. Healthy refreshments and snacks will be provided. Please contact Jacqueline Mac at jmac507 [at] umd [dot] edu or at 301-405-0839 with questions.
