Introduction

The Elections Committee supervises yearly GSG Executive Elections. The EC is in charge of setting up, assisting to generate interest in, and helping to facilitate GSG executive board elections.

Elections for 2010-2011

The Elections Committee is no longer accepting Vacancy Nomination Forms, as the Spring election season is beginning. These elections will select program representatives and executive officers for the 2010-2011 school year.

You can download the elections information packet here. It contains details about the nomination procedure, explanations of the roles of program representatives and executive officers, and the bylaws and rules concerning election procedure and candidate conduct.

The nominations period is now closed.

Voting

To vote in the GSG elections, follow these simple instructions:

1. Log into the GSG website by going to gsg.umd.edu/login
   1. In the first screen, put in your directory id (such as xyz in xyz [at] umd [dot] edu)
   2. You will be redirected to the University login system (CAS). Use your regular directory id and password to verify your identity (your password is not stored or used by GSG)
   3. You will be redirected to the GSG student's page (also at the address gsg.umd.edu/login).
2. Under the heading "Vote in GSG Elections" click on the link.
3. Follow the instructions on the ballot

Resignation Letter

To officially resign your Assembly position as a representative to your department, you need to send this letter into the GSG or the Elections committee.
