The Graduate School recently approved 110 requests for partial remission of candidacy tuition and mandatory fees for the Fall 2005 semester. Unfortunately, we have insufficient resources to remit full tuition for all the requests. In our effort to find an equitable solution for the students caught in the transition to the new candidacy tuition, we are pleased to grant tuition remission for approximately one-third of the flat tuition fee for those who were eligible.
For those candidates classified as in-state, the award is $257, and, for out-of-state students, it is $380. This will reduce the candidacy tuition to the cost of one credit hour.
We have now posted the partial tuition remission for the candidates. They will not be eligible for another remission of partial candidacy tuition for the Spring 2006 semester. Due to limited funds, we can only offer this award for one semester to each eligible candidate.
