GSG Assembly Confirms First Three Judicial Court Nominees

On Friday, 8 July 2005, the Graduate Student Government installed a Judicial Court to review the constitutionality of bills and amendments and to handle impeachment proceedings on behalf of the Assembly. The amendment to the GSG Bylaws that created the Court passed unanimously at the July 8th Assembly Meeting.

Former Vice President of Committee Affairs Adam Lopez was confirmed as the first Chief Justice of the Judicial Court. Lopez has served the GSG for
several years and is generally recognized as the foremost expert on GSG governing documents and code. Also serving are Eden Segal and Erin
Robertson, who were both confirmed as Associate Justices. Segal is an attorney and doctoral student in Curriculum Theory in the department of
Education Policy and Leadership. Robertson, a former member of the GSG Assembly, is working on her PhD in Material Science and Engineering.
